On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, the European Cybersecurity Certification event was successfully completed at the Information, Communication, and Technology Academy (ICT Academy) of the Digital Security Authority.

The event brought together distinguished speakers and professionals in the field of cybersecurity certification, promoting collaboration and knowledge exchange.

The Commissioner of Communications, Mr. George Michaelides, emphasised the importance of the European Cybersecurity Act and the National Cybersecurity Certification Authority (NCCA) in promoting a secure digital environment through certification.

Ms. Xenia Kyriakidou, Head of the NCCA Cyprus, explained the role, responsibilities, and work of the NCCA so far, future plans, and the benefits of European cybersecurity certification. This certification will enhance trust in digital services and facilitate businesses to enter the European market by offering a recognised security certification framework.
