A New Milestone for Cybersecurity Certification in Europe

On February 27, 2024, the European Cybersecurity Certification Scheme for ICT Products (EUCC) was introduced, marking a significant move toward a harmonized cybersecurity certification framework across the EU. Today, we are proud to announce that EUCC has officially entered into application!

From now on, Member States can begin issuing EUCC Certificates through their National Cybersecurity Certification Authorities (NCCAs) and Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs). This long-awaited development will bring enhanced clarity, trust, and efficiency to cybersecurity certification across Europe.

ENISA—the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity—played a pivotal role in coordinating this effort. We extend our gratitude to all the EUCC AHWG participants and contributors whose expertise has been instrumental over the past years. The impact of this milestone is just beginning.

What’s New Starting Today?

EUCC Certificates Across the EU: ICT product manufacturers can now benefit from a streamlined certification process, simplifying compliance across the region.
Centralized Certification Reference: ENISA’s Certification Portal will serve as the single reference point by publishing all issued certificates, ensuring transparency and accessibility.
Expansion of the Certification Ecosystem: New Conformity Assessment Bodies, and ITSEFs will soon be accredited and authorized, further expanding the ecosystem.
In addition, the 2025 European Cybersecurity Certification Conference will spotlight newly accredited CABs and the first EUCC-certified products, reinforcing Europe’s commitment to digital security.
